Hi everyone,

I have an 1998 impreza type r (V4), and the VF-24 turbo is in need of a refurb! I have been offered a VF-28 with low miles instead, but i'm lacking in knowledge when it comes to turbo's so i'm not sure whether it will be a direct replacement or not?

I'm hoping that someone out there can help me with the foloowing queries i have:-

Will it bolt straight on?
What are the advantages/disadvantages of the VF-28 turbo over the VF-24?
Will i need to do any modifications to the ecu or anything?

Plus any other general info. that i may need to know would be good.

Kev, No worries, it'll bolt straight on VF28 is either P1 or STi Vers 5 / 6 type. There are slight characteristic differences in the way they work between VF24 and VF28 and maybe M. Schumacher might notice the difference but you won't.

No need to do anything except bolt it on.
