Hey all, I have recently purchased a V7 STi, the car has the following mods, earthmod, exhaust, and chip. its got a defi electionic boost gauge installed. and it will read 1.8 bar on full throttle !!! on full boost it jumps right up to 1.8, then makes its way back to 1.4 bar. Why does it jump like that ? and If it reads 1.8, does it mean it is actually running 1.8 bar for an instance ? isnt this dangerous ?

any help will be appreciated.

I would say it's very dangerous if the gauge is accurate!!!!!

do a search 'boost spike' and STi it should get some threads from a while ago discussing this.

 

Get it on a dyno ASAP
