Thinking of getting a bleed valve the weekend just wanted to know what my standard boost is on a MY00 and whats the safest psi i could take it to the car has been fully decatted with a dumpvalve and a k&n panel filter as my only engine mods, also got a boost gauge and knocklink, any information on boost settings and information on bleed valves would be appreciated thanks.

scoobyfella, your 1.3 bar is that on a uk MY00?

Does anyone know if that is a safe limit to go to on a UK model? I have a boost controller and dont know how high i can go safely.

After a bit of research, i think im going to leave this mod for now, and save a few more pennies and get a ecutek remap, does anyone out there know where the best place to go for a remap and how much it would cost.

My old uk 99 ran .9 bar standard and I was just able to squeeze 1.15 bar out of it with a bleed valve before the overboost cut out opperated, it did fly and is still going strong with 150,000 miles on it although now back on standard boost due to many horror stories about engines blowing up and dodgy mafs etc, I bought it with 118,000 miles and sold it to a mate with 129,000 miles on it and its never given a days trouble !!!!!!!!!!!!
