ported standard headers or group s what is the best option ? dont want to loose the scooby rumble

im tempeted wether to pull my groupe s headers off and pay for better quality ones as my power always seems to find a leak my good find seems to be coming back to haunt me

Ive got groupe S headers on , no probs at all really good (up to now) had them on about a year , alan.

There seems to be a quality control issue with Gruppe-s, some are fine whilst others are a real pain.

The lastest ones are much better? They have thicker flanges etc??

think i might just get the standard headers ported and pollished cause the ones i got offered is the old type with the solid pipe . does it make alot of difference with the standard ones ported with a bigger up pipe ?

Take care. I remember the real experts on here stating that the larger diameter up pipes will slow down the exhaust gas speed to the turbo, so lag will be increased. Gains will arrive eventually when everything gets going, but the others will be down the road by then!
