Unhappy

As you may have heard I was away on a business trip (the business being thrashing the scooby ) and travelled to Germany via france, belgium, and the netherlands.

Did I see any scoobys? well, yes, but only the one, and it was a 5 door GL!!!

Was most upset that I did not have a chance to mix it with another scooby on the autobahn, got fedup giving big Mercs and Bimmers a thrashing!!!

Must say that it was fun maxing out the scoob, saw 140 on the speedo!! guess it's only 130 or less though

Still, great time was had, good food and good company as well.

Looking forward to driving there again!

oh! and petrol is cheap as well

In one of the columns in Autocar this week, it mentions this sort of thing. Apparently the average German motorist is very very much into image. Scoobs and Evos, whatever their rallying credentials are considered to be low-rent Jap cars wearing cheap suits. Since this is the image they have, nobody wants to buy them.

Funny that, I would have thought that the Audi Quattro would have spawned a variety of rally obsessed Germans driving the 'next generation' pieces of kit.
Are there no German members on the BBS?

cheers

Justin
