Question New Car??

I recenlty have had a nightmare with cars, first of all having to get rid of my Terzo then I bought Andy F's car and had to sell that also. I am now in a position (sort of) to return to Scooby ownership again.

What car should I be looking to buy? My budget is approx £23,000.

Been looking at the new Evo 8 but they do seem expensive compared to a Sti.

What would you guys/gals recommend?

Vauxhall VX220 Turbo
Evo6
22B
STI 5/6 RA or type R
R33 Skyline
(can you tell I'm a 'classics' man?)
Out of the 2 examples you gave, I think that dismissing the Evo because it appears expensive may be a false economy...go for a drive in one...maybe you won't need to mod it like you would a scoob for the same amount of fun?

Drove an evo 8 FQ330 last Saturday & was not impressed, found my 03 sti ppp just as quick 10 x more comfy & generally easier to live with.

for that money, either stretch to a brand new STI, or get a nice clean 1 year old (first 03 shape) and have some change for those inevitable initial mods.

How about a MY03 SpecC (you may have to stretch another 1K to get one) but they really are worth it

I think they have some at good prices

The white SpecC's aren't bad at all and good money, (still not my preference - but then I'd have to change my username for a start if I bought anything else)

Just rembmer they've not got elecy windows and no A/C (bad time of year not to have) so if your planning on adding it later because you can't do without, this could maybe justify the extra on a SpecC ltd now
