Default Apexi Power Fc, Link or Unichip ??

I cannot stretch to a Gems or Motec but could afford one of the above (just)
Car is currently running 311 Bhp & 270 Torque (john Nobles R & R)
I was thinking a Remap would improve this further as it is still on the Prodrive Ecu. Car is an MY94 UK full decat, Boost controller , Walbro Fp , Blitz induction, FMIC, Prodrive Ecu, Gruppe-s Headers & Up-pipe, TD05 .

Which of the above would you recommend & where to go for the best supplier / Mapper, WIll it improve much over my current setup or is it just throwing money away for little gain due to the age of the Car.

Both are very good systems, go to Bob Rawle for the link mapping or Andy Forest for the Apexi.

Alan Bell is running the same spec as you but with an apexi mapped by Andy, at our last rolling road day Alans car pulled over 380bhp!

my car was also mapped by andy but i am running one of his TD05/06 turbos

Johnny,

You say Alans is the same spec as mine, Is it a UK Also ? Nothing internal done at all, All i can say is Wow 380 is very impressive , Can you remember what the Torque was,
Is your scoob Uk or Jdm because don't you have to swap the cam sensor etc about on a UK ??
Cheers
Dean

yes Alans car is also a uk, the only thing is he is using 550cc injectors instead of the stock 380cc, he is running stock internals as am i.

my car is JDM MY95 WRX, no need for swapping sensors on pre 96 cars, the APEXI is a direct replacement on both UK and JDM as both cars are very similar, unlike the post 96 cars!

Oh dear, I can really feel some spending coming on, Good job the Mrs has left Me
Alan do you have an uprated Fuel Pressure regulator fitted with your 550'S & did you run the 380's with the Apexi or fit the 550's before the mapping etc , I would imagine the 380's were maxed out ?? what boost are you running ?

All questions im afraid

Cheers

What are the relative costs of the three systems? Are they really comparable as the unichip is a piggy back ecu. Are the other replacements or Piggybacks?
What are the other pros and cons?

Good choice. I'm also running the power FC, and it also gives you a few added functions, such as monitoring boost, water temp, etc if you get the commander with it.
