Whilst rotating my wheels i noticed the rear passenger side strut has been leaking oil. Mechanic friend told me both would have to be replaced to keep the car balanced. Dealer will only replace the leaking strut under warrenty, is this ok?

I had a front one go when the car was 4 months old. The dealer just changed the faulty one.

However mine was practicly new, where as yours is now 2 / 3 years old and done X thousands of miles........ This could make a big difference having just one new shock..... possibly unbalance the car??
