Question

I work for a company that "generously" pays 32p per mile for car expenses. I rekon if Im getting paid this, Im being robbed with the scoob.

Anyone got a realistic cost per mile?

Off the top of my head I rekon 50p would be closer to the real cost, bearing in mind consumables such as tyres (clutches!?)

This isn't what you mean at all, but whilst I've been running mine in, it's cost 15.5p per mile in petrol.

it won't get better than that.

Robski,

You are extremely lucky..I only get 18p a mile for my privately owned Scoob........it's bloody crippling!!

If I had one gripe about the scoob, it's fuel consumption.......but I would rather aim that at the Blood Sucking ***** in government than at Scoobs!

Don't forget if this company miles, you can claim the difference on your tax return.

If you use your own car for business travel you can get tax relief for the costs that your employer does not meet.
