Injector cleaner/K&N panel filter
Just a quick query....MY00 45K miles...feels fine...was going to treat it to one of those injector cleaners you add to a tank of petrol...anyone had problems with this stuff ?
Also, was going to replace the standard filter with a K&N metal panel filter (long life)...i know they are a little oiled. Will this cause a problem with the MAF ?.
thanks

hi i have use some reddex injector cleaner and doesnt seem to have any problems ive used it for years on my civic vti and all i can say is at 120 000 miles its still going strong, ive also got a apexi induction kit and i can reccommend this to any one here, its one of the best kit ive used, its a dry filter meaning no oil at all and has one of the best filtration
I bought some STP Fuel Injector Cleaner from Halfords a couple of weeks ago. It was £9.99 for 4 applications (to be used every 3000 miles). I've noticed that since I put added the first lot, I've been getting higher mpg without having to drive like a granny. Since it's only a tenner for almost a years worth, it might be worth a shot if you're after an extra 1 or 2 mpg (every little helps). My car's also only done 45k, so I'd say go for it
Be careful not to over-do it with the injector cleaner (or ordinary Redex) as too much could possibly initiate det. when working the car hard, especially in the warm weather?
