I went to the dealership yesterday to take a second, longer drive in the Blue/Gold wheels 2004 STI (3000 miles) they had on the lot. Their asking price was $29,988, and their original offer on my 2002 WRB WRX with 22,000 miles was $15,000. They then dropped down to $28,988 on the STI and $16,200 on the WRX. They said that was the best they could do, so I thanked them for their time and got up to leave. The middleman said he was going to tell his manager I was heading out, and he'd be right back. Their next final offer was $26,988 for the STI and $17,000 for my WRX. My offer beforehand was $26,000 for the STI and $17,500 for my WRX. So, I thanked them for their time and left. We were somewhat close, but I doubt I'll be getting a call from them on this one.

 

So you managed to get a $4000 discount on the STi and $1300 extra on your car and you didn't think that was a good enough deal?

By 2004 STi, I take it you mean a 2003 STi... i.e. manufactured in 2003 and probably first sold in 2003. USA 2004MY=Rest of the World 2003MY
