With only the centre cat left in position you can still get the cat below efficency cel come on.

My theory is this-the rear lambda sensor is situated before the rear cat,if i was to add a tapping for it after the cat,surely this would stop the cel from coming on due to it picking up "catted" exhaust.

Anyone have any ideas on this?

Just buy the cel fix for £35 and save messing about.It takes 20 minutes to fit.

 

Just solder 1μF tadalum capacitor between blue-white wire and 1MOhm resistor in blue wire and forget once and for all PO420 CELs, as simple as that!
Be carefull this combo is for 01-02 cars, 03-04 cars require only the 1MOhm resistor.

Thanks-i think you allready told me about the resistor/ capacitor fix,but i still havnt got around to sourcing the components yet.

Do you fit them at the sensor end or the ecu end,as i understand that the colour coding changes between the sensor and the ecu.

TEK is the best solution in any case, if you are going to fit the resistor/capacitor prefer the O2 sensor end.

Ive finally got round to fitting the resistor/capacitor-what way round does the capacitor go? ie + side to blue or white wire.

 

Any ideas anyone????
