i have a really annoying rattle which seems to be coming from the turbo or the top of the downpipe.
it has a full de cat and no heatshield.
any ideas on what it could be people cuz Its driving me MAD

heatshield on the headers, mine rattle like crazy. Another reason to change the headers !

Are you sure it's nowt as daft as a lose lambda sensor? I have seen this lots of times, most recently on a mates brand new G*lf! Nip it tight and problem was solved?

wheres the lambada and where and what are the headers

 

The Lambda is just after the turbo located in the down pipe, its a sensor and will have wires going into it.
Headers are the exhaust manifolds, carry the exhaust gases from each bank of cylinders to the turbo.

there is a bolt in the downpipe. would this be where the lam would be or the cof sensor

 

ok i don't think its a rattle from the headers. it sounds like its comin from inside the down pipe but what could it be. its defo comin from that area

 

Check your brake pipes where they run against the bulkhead. Mine rattled like f**k, I thought it was coming from the heatshield......
