Hi all,

Just thought id write you all and tell you how cool my first 24 hours of scooby life has been.

First up, the acceleration and the burble of the flat 4 are awesome, and the huge scoop on the front is like "wow".

After picking it up (after it had all the work done and a service and the horrible sunstrip removed and full valet) it looked awesome and i went and toyed a bit with it. However half way through I got a "check engine" light. Ooops me thinks.

I got really paranoid over it last night and hemed it in with other cars. I had nightmares about it and worried it wouldnt be there in the morning

Took it back this afternoon and they fixed the speedo cable and hence wasn't boosting therefore the poo acceleration.

Went to the DVLA office to change the northern ireland v5 to a uk and get a tax disk. What a palava.

The looks of envy you get from people and the rudeness of some who resent you having a better motor than them. Dumping to the BOV as you go by people can be funny though.

The thing just sticks to the road too, which is good.

Even get the scals aka chavs reving the **** off their rover coupes with neon lights trying to prove a point, even as you are just filling up. Ok filling up is gonna be a regular thing me thinks though

All I can say is I wish I had done it sooner

I'm on the same time, 2 months. It never fails to impress and excite me every day. Try to avoid all possible contact with the chavs though.
