Default Silkolene - Black Currant?

Several people have raised the colour of Silkolene oil lately and if there was a new Silkolene oil which was not the distinctive black currant colour we are used to seeing from the 'R' or 'S'.
The definitive answer from Silkolene this morning is, "The purple die is part of our manufacturing process. If it does not have the purple colour then it is not our oil."
So if anybody tells you it is Silkolene and it is not purple, either they are mistaken and do not know what they are talking about or they are having you over.
If you have purchased it as Silkolene, they want to hear from you and your local Trading Standards should be informed.
