Result! The car moves!
#1
Hello!
Well, I am a happy chappy this morning! I posted on Monday about my car going dead on the way back from the Midlands meet on Sunday and obviously was concerned!
However, eveything is fixed now, after some serious diagnostics! Having spoken to a number of people and having had someone look at the car we isolated the problem down to the fuel pump and ignition - both not working. So, we assumed it to be the immobiliser/alarm. Having had a number of problems with my old Clifford I got in touch with them direct and they got a local Clifford dealer to come out to the car to have a look (he was not best pleased but knows me and the car, having done the majority of the security and ICE.
Anyway, to cut a medium length story short, the alarm was fine BUT the trouble was caused when my local Subaru dealer had changed the heatsheild and not taped up some wires! Wires on hot heatsheild/exhaust = melting = shorting = blown relays in main fuse box! So, it 's now running and I am taking it back to said dealer for them to replace the relays, check the wiring and they better bloody well throw in a few freebies as well!
What a mare, but all sorted now! Many thanks to Steve and Phil from RAM in HULL - top guys and very good at their jobs! Also thanks to Mike Peck and Geoff Painter for help beyond th call of friendship!
Cheers,
Jon.

So, will it be well enough to meet the WRX Wagon this weekend? Or are you still going to bring the 'other' car, which I won't mention in case someone takes the mick
