Ive got a 94 version 1 STI, and want to invest in a FMIC has anyone got some suggestions of whats a good choice or even whats not.cheers fellow scoobynetters!!

 

I've been looking around myself, All the FMIC's on offer look like a pretty similar design with regards to the header arrangement.

The Hybrid group buy looks like a good price, but a bit of work to fit

The Pace one looks promising, from what i hear it fits easily and drives with little lag, not too sure of it's efficiency though.

I don't like the idea of an HKS one as it's a tube&fin design, so delicate (also restricts airflow on to the radiator more, possibly more pressure drop though more efficient).

Otherwise Blitz,APS and MRT... i wouldn't mind hearing a bit more about them myself.

According the the advertising IIRC the APS one claims the largest volume, but then if that's too large it will be laggy.........

Probably best not to listen to me, i'm a bit too much of a perfectionist when it comes to these things

I had an Apexi fmic on my STi 6. The bar and fin design was superb giving brilliant efficiency and the fins were pretty strong. Not badly priced and gives much superior performance compared to HKS and Pace..
