Utter filth

Ok, I'll have a go:
Maybe in summer, there's more dust in the air which would be kept down in winter by the moisture in the air. Also, when it rains in summer, it doesn't rain as much (ie not as often) so the rain tends to contain more crap (dunno why but it does). If it rains for 5 minutes, your car will be covered but if it rains non-stop for 2 days, it won't be as bad.
Also of course, there's more flies about in summer which always makes a nice mess of your car.
How about that?

I think alot of depends on the polish you use. I, like many on this BBS, use the Zymol/Wax Wizard products which certainly do make a difference. I find the fly btms come off with just normal sponging and that the rain rinses alot more crap off than it did with other products.
Try a search if you've not heard of the products - if you come across Mark Underwood he's Mr.Wizard himself.

Just washed my car. It needed it. Provoked two questions:
1. Does anyone have the phone number for Vapona's R&D dept? I seem to be driving around with the ultimate flykiller, might as well try to profit out of it.
2. Why is it that my car gets filthy five times quicker in the summer than the winter? (Respondents may offer technical or imaginative explanations). I can't believe the amount of crap I'm cleaning off recently, and usage hasn't changed at all.
Puzzled
