I cant beleive the new uk sti has only 265 bhp!! anyone know what the import spec c is ?

265 for the uk sti flagship model is not good, whats the new evo ? 300+

sorry i know 265 is good, but i really thought it would be around the 300 mark, 265 is just not high enough noway days,, with seat supra cupra doopas at 230 odd with no wieght, alright they dont go round bends !

No, the "standard" one is rated at 276 but doesn't produce that much on a dyno. There's also a 260bhp version, together with the FQ300 and FQ330, which are technically post-registration upgrades like the PPP.

Why? Apart from being a nice round number, in what way is it "not good enough"?

I'd back myself to drive away from pretty much anything in a standard STi. They're not slow cars by any stretch of the imagination. If you do want more, buy the PPP.

The Impreza is sold in a completely different class to the Seats, there's no need for Subaru to be seen to compete with them, in power terms, or indeed any other way.

I thought that the old sti imports where around 276, mine is 272 on pwer eng dyno,and i get kicked all over the place by my m8s astra turbo, ex,re-map,high flow air filter, of course this does not happen on twistys, and yes we are very sensable

 

you must have left your handbrake on if your mate kicks you all over the place, i give just about everything a hard time in my uk, all boils down to the driver

 

Here they do have 300hp, 300lb-ft of torque and a 2.5 litre engine...
