Question

Hello!

I have some questions:
1.What type of LSD does European spec Sti use in front and rear? They specified them as "Suretrac", I suspect it's not mechanical type because the car uses ABS, but what is it?
2.What kind of LSD does the same car uses in center diff? I know is viscous coupled, but is it 12 kg/m, 20 kg/m, or something else?
3. Which turbocharger is used in this car?

Thnx!

Kristijan

Cool

Why would a mechanical front LSD upset ABS? It did not affect the ABS on my car.

Ups, my mistake, it upsets the electronic center diff!

I believe the answer to number 3 is VF30 turbo .

Cheers,

Wrexy.

Why would a front LSD upset the centre diff? IIRC, you can choose an optional front LSD when ordering a type R or type RA. The front LSD didn't seem to upset my (non-adjustable) centre diff.

Are you thinking of how the adjustable centre diff is incompatible with ABS maybe?

One more thing: P1 has VF 28 turbo and 22B VF23, so the new euro spec Sti has smaller turbo (VF30), is that correct? Now here is the question: Does jap spec Sti have different turbocharger then euro spec?

Thanks again!

The JAP spec and EURO spec STI have the same turbo. As for size read this thread, especially PATS reply. Then you will understand about the turbo sizes.
