I have been running a Pipercross Induction kit on my MY99 for the last 14 months (30K miles) or so without any problems. shortly after purchasing it from my local dealership they informed me that if my MAF sensor 'went' then it would not be covered due to the PX (or any non std)induction kit - they had had a fax circular from Subaru UK stating that the number of MAF sensor failures had increased.... (My local deakership also withdrew the old PX ind kit from sale)

I contiued to run the 'wet' type filter up 'till now (if it ain't broke don't fix it) - i was however a little concerned about cleaning and (over)oiling it.

Whilst collecting my car from, a service the other day I noticed that my local Dealership had started to sell PX ind kits again - this time with the new 'dry' element.
- i was offered a free replacement by a certain Performance outfit -More than my dealership would do! - they wanted to sell me a complete new ind kit @ £ 80.00 + vat!

I am collecting the FREE new dry filter element this afternoon.
Just thought that i would mention it.
a BIG Thank you to Performance City

Paul
