New STi (AVCS!) with PosszmLink/MoTeC ECU?
I love the way dan jumped in their by assumning Damon knows nothing. You'd think being group N rally people they might realise they need to map the car!
Damon, Motec M800s are in short supply over here. I havent seen one yet, but I am sure there are a few flying around. Not sure about them being used on the new shape though.
I also thopught new link was supposed to be very capable. Perhaps a call to link possum bourne migth help sort out your problems?

Adam,
We have an M800, but haven't got the software for the new STi. Motec Australia promised to make it for next week, they got an STi engine 2 weeks ago to dynoing.
We use Possum Link ECUs for years (mostly in road cars), but this one for the new car (Possum Link 44S) is different. We wrote the maps, but the ECU doesn't do always what it would. Possum Borne gave me the following URL:

Well, for those C programmers out there anyway
Just to put it into english, fit a Pectel T6 engine management system, which has variable valve timing control as standard, as well as all the lovely logging stuff and wideband lambda that MoTeC like to charge extra for.
Oh, yes, it also has more inputs and outputs, as well as being able to store two completely separate maps (we're not talking compensation maps, I mean 2 fuel maps, 2 ignition maps etc etc) and of course four dimensional fuelling
Cheers,
Pat.

Mike... don't you sell DMS suspension though ?

Damon,
Not sure about the valve timing gear on the new shape STi, but I would have guessed that it just needs an Aux Output from the M800 to control it ?
Or are you saying that the M800 software isn't at the stage where it has valve timing specific features built in ? Latest software I can see is Version 109E for the M800.
Adam,
Powerstation recently finished a P1 on the M800, worked very well. So, yes, they are out there
