Car got stuck in 4th gear, clutch seems fine
after 3 hour wait and a lift to B&C , 130 mile test drive and they say they can't find anything wrong.

Any ideas, seems a bit stiffer in the gears now. Car was servirced last Month MY95

any help appreciated

sounds familiar... had similar problem, i was told that it was the selector shaft (i think). eventually broke !!!

My 98 stuck in 3rd on over run approaching round about on A1. Took MAJOR force to get it out. Inspected by garage - could find no fault (although it seemed stiffer for a while) they change GB oil and told to monitor oil level in GB as it was slightly down. Since then (2 yrs) no probs (touch wood).
Its all a worry !!!!!!

yes unfortunately as slimshady said, my gearbox did the same firstly bent the selector forks (made it hard to change gears) they got stuck in second and wouldn't come out. It was a broken selector fork.
