...thought I read that a transit part might more robust.

Any comments / part number, or just get std part from Scooby dealer?

HKS headers to SS up-pipe (if it matters!)

Cheers!

Not sure about the gasket, I've got an H&S 2" solid uppipe and have had no problems with leaking (up to now).

Don't use any form of paste in the exhaust pre-turbo.

It's a shame search isn't working, you could do a search on Nasioc as the US guys seem to have loads of problems with leaking uppipes!

We have changed the design so as not to have any problem in the future(not that we had many in the first place, but to be on the safe side). It now comes with a double slip joint to take up any heat expansion which prolongs the life of the gasket.

Thinking about this, GruppeS do a set of 5 ply steel exhaust gaskets, I have heard that they will also supply them separately.

the gruppe-s ones are made by the people that supplied subaru with the multi layer OE gaskets.
