Im looking for some suggetions on a new set of spark plugs after checking that mine aint been replaced for 2 years!
Car: GL 2.0 MY99
Mods: Complete Decated Exhaust system.
at the moment im looking at the Blitz Iridium Spark Plugs but they have 3 grades ..
Available in three heat ratings, 6 (for standard UK cars) 7 (for STi's, modified UK cars etc) and 8 (for highly modified cars).
would I benifit from using the 7 rated plugs or just stick with the 6 rated ones. Ive also been looking at NGK plugs, again with different ratings.
Can anyone recommend or comment on what I should get.
also ... any reliable and cheap places to get these from??
cheers, Lee

Personally I'd only go for NGK's and nothing else.
In terms of temp rating; I doubt you'd need anything different from standard with just an exhaust system.
The only exception is maybe if your blasting round a race track (i.e full thottle 95% of the time) all day or drive just half a mile everyday. In which case you'll need colder plugs for the previous and hotter for the latter.

Thanks for the quick reply.
Just taken a look around for NGK plugs .. managed to source some BKR6E-11 for £3.30 each, but looking at the owners manual it recommends BKR5E-11 .. whats the benifits from going from a 5 rating to a 6 rating, and would it be advisable to do this with my spec.
Cheers, Lee
