Question

I get my Scoob back tonight after having the piston slap fixed and the clutch/flywheel changed (hurrah)

I was just wondering if there's any special way I should treat my lovely new components?

Already thought to buy a filter to do an oil change after 1000 miles or so just in case. Anyone recommend anything else I should do?

Cheers,
Steve

Geoff

Unfortunately as my car's done over 45000 miles, IM wouldn't even consider replacing the clutch and flywheel under warranty despite my dealer's best efforts and my pestering IM customer support

To be honest I wasn't too hopeful, but at least my dealer gave me discount on the parts and charged nothing to fit it as the engine obviously was out for the piston anyway.

Must admit that the old clutch was not in too good a shape - maybe another 10000 miles on it tops so that's another job done!

Still, it's damn good to get my Scoob back after a week with a 1.6 TS wagon!!

Cheers,
Steve
