Just curious, but are the uk spec turbo engines run in on a test bed before they're put in the cars (like on bmws, etc)?

Nah, not really. The punter (ie you) is expected to QC the engine during running in.

Millions of threads on here about what to do, not to do etc before 1k miles are up. Use the search facility on the forum shoulder header at top right.

Keep counting the days!!

 

The waiting lists have long gone. Most dealers have a few in there showrooms now.
