Hi all

I'm looking at getting a new exhaust (back box only) for my MY00, the dilemma is do I go for a Scoobymania one, Scoobysport or what? I do a fair few motorway miles some weekends and so dont want anything too noisy on the motorway, but want something that sounds a little more meaty than the standard factory job.

Any ideas?

Neil

Take a look at Magnex if you're after something a bit more meaty, but unobtrusive.
It's cheap as well as well built.

I believe Falkland has the best price I've seen on that item.

Get the Scoobysport one, I had it on my UK99 before I had the full system

It sounds really cool, and looks good, its the one to get I promise you won't be disappointed

Cool

Yep, have to agree. I did have a Magnex BB which was very nice - but the Scoobysport one is in a different league. If you're only doing the backbox, neither will be that noisy, but I think you'll prefer the SS one.

I bought the Prodrive WR BB as this is quiet when off boost/small throttle openings (motorway/town) and louder on boost/full throttle (countryside/fun )

I made this choice over the Scoobysport 'cos I had a sit in a Standard UK99 with just a SS BB and it was way loud - since then though, I've sat in a P1 which was standard with just a SS BB and that was hardly any noisier than the standard car - go figure??????

I would suggest you try and find someone with one of each and listen for yourself and see which you prefer.....

Personally I went for the scoobymania system 3" all the way through and a lovely throaty burble IMHO a little boomy at low revs, as for the 3" vs 2.5" I certainly noticed no loss of torque only GAINS
