Checked with Halfords about Castol 10-60 oil, which those in the know reckon to be the best Scooby oil (see No 3 Big End thread). They sell it, but only to special order so could take a couple of weeks.

It gets better... Price is just £20.72 (inc VAT!!!) for 4 litres and, if you spend £50 or more on oil, you get £10 off.

Mind you, today is Friday 13th...

which Halfords, my local one at Uckfield said no way, but are now 'looking into it' after speaking to the manager and saying I need 32 litres of the stuff - but I suspect looking into it is a way of getting me off the phone!

 

Simple Question - How many litres of oil do I need to get for my MY00 to perform an oil change?

4.5 litres, with oil filter. No more. Even 4.4 is OK. If you put any more in you will contaminate the solenoid and you will have boost problems.
