Or is it a different part number?

i think it's different.sti has an intake air temp. sensor included.
some body can confirm?

Yes, the MY99/00 cars use the same type of MAF sensor, so you can use the UK part in an STi5/6 with no problems at all. The part number is 22794AA010 if you don't already have it BTW.
