Stuart,
I have the magnex backbox with the 3 1/2" tailpipe with a scoobysport de-cat centre.
The Magnex is very good quality at not too bad a price, £208 (I think) from Falkland, also very easy to fit.
Centre section was a part exchange deal I did with Pete at Scoobysport although Magnex also do one at a decent price.
This set up isn't too noisy inside the car although I'm told it sounds very good from outside

Perhaps you should start with the back box only and take it from there.

If you are anywhere near the Dundee area you are welcome to meet up with me and have a listen.

Regards,
Chris

Stuart,
Get yourself a Magnex rear box and centre section with resonator. I have this setup on my 00MY turbo and it really is good quality.
I bought mine from Falkland performance centre in scotland, 10% discount for SIDC members making it less than £300 all in, superb service was delivered the day after ordering The fit was superb. Noise is louder without being too stupid - a real nice burble Performance is definately better. I have kept the standard down pipe (for the time being) which means that the emmisions are still within MOT standards as the cat is big enough to cope. Hope this helps you make a decision

Regards

Glen

Hi Stuart

I have a JPI box and centre pipe from Jap Innovations in oldham (0161 652 0920). It has a 3" flaired tail pipe, and looks the DBs. The price was only £229.00 for the b/box, and £85.50 for the centre pipe. Give them a ring before you deside, you wont be dissappointed.

Cool

Here's the deal, my rear section is about to pop, and it got me thinking about a complete replacement system, or perhaps just a new backbox. Lots of options on the go, but I am looking for.

1)Must be road legal i.e. able to pass emmisions tests (MY96 UK model)
2)Not very noisy
3)Won't need a second mortgage to buy it
4)Must have at least some performance advantage

What do you guys recommend ??

Stuart

I was at Japanese innovations at Oldham last week, and they've also got a second hand stainless steel Prodrive back box (out of the PPP kit I think). It was immaculate, and I think he said it was £150.

Good value I reckon.

Thumbs up

Have a look at the Scorpion as well. Just had the BB and centre section done for £300 + VAT.
