Unhappy

Mine MY96 was running on the top grade fuel. I switched to Ron98 super unlead in the last two tank.

My car has the TD04L turbo and it should able to give 0.7 bar, and it actually did in last two months.

Last night, the turbo only give 0.2 to 0.3 bar even the gas was floored. After 1 hour of driving, it increased to 0.5bar and cannot be increased further.

Can everyone tell me where to look to figure out the low boost issue?

Thanks.

I've tried to use the system check mode with the green connectors connected and switched the ignition to on. I heard there was a rapid clicking sound from the RHS strut tower which the boost control solenoid sits. So, I think the boost solenoid is okay. Is the wastegate solenoid the same as the boost solenoid?

I reset the ECU, and it gives 0.6 bar at maximum. It drops to 0.5 to 0.55 bar after it reached its peak.

But I have set the ECU to System check mode by connecting the green connectors and turn the ignition on as said in the book "Training WRX". The book said "You should hear a rapid clicking from the (boost) solenoid..... If there is no clicking the solenoid is probably sticking". That I think my boost solenoid should be working.
