Hello,

I think Dave means that the SS backbox is less restrictive than a P1 backbox.

You might have more luck selling it, should be easy due to its warranty friendly nature, and putting the money towards another BB.

Having gone from a PPP backbox to a Scoobysport BB - There is no real performance difference, but plenty of audible difference - which makes it feel faster

Worth doing, but be warned it is a fair bit louder

Uhmm, nice to hear that GaryC.

My idea was (inspired by 1 bottle of red wine) that people with a full scooby sport system who were tiring of the noise level might want a compromise with a ppp backbox.

Never mind

That's OK - that's exactly why I went for the PPP BB instead of the SS. It's just too loud for my liking - it's very nice when you're hacking about but it starts to get on your nerves on the motorway after a while....

Me too - I just found the Scoobysport too tiring on motorways so I sold it.

How much do you want for the PPP back box ?

ric's (posted above) offered to buy my BB for 140 and if he still wants it, it's on condition I find a scoobysport one (I've made ian/555 an offer on his). alistair, I'll let you know what happens with Ric.

I should've explained all this beforehand I s'pose, but I assumed people would know the pros and cons of popular BBs and realise why I posted in the first place.

I am interested in a straight swap if your sale falls through - my SS has done 2k miles.

Must be in excellent condition.

Cheers

Recently completed 1357 mile ski trip to Switzerland - no probs with full SS system noise (took Carolyn's car - didn't want to put the miles on mine )

She says hers is too quiet.....

Is she by any chance a grown up "Rock Chick" who's been to one too many gigs and can now barely hear anything any more?????
