Strange "boost" phenomenon at about 3800 rpm ????

Have noticed recently what can best be described as a second turbo boost kicking in around 3800 rpm.
Most noticeable in 3rd gear when accelerating hard.
I have the Forge DV but no other engine mods.
Also noticed engine hesitation when cold under hard acceleration, didn't notice this when car was new.
Any ideas regards

Not sure - I've made a note of it but to be honest, I'm pretty pig-sick of my Scooby at the moment... trying not to think about the thing. On its next service I'm telling the garage to keep it until they've found the problem!
