I think there is no more noise in car if you use good inox steel pipes like SS. With my SS DP and BB is not so loud I only want powerup and more noise from exh. at high rews.

Question

Hi all

Does anybody know how big is Hp or torque gain SS MS for MY98 with K&N 57i kit, SS DP and BB? Is it noticable or much louder only? Btw. loudness. Would my girl notice any changes if I ride at low rpm ?

Thanks for answers.

Thumbs up

Hi Erik,
You will notice the difference. There will be more pull at lower revs and the exhaust note seems to get lower but not quieter.
Stuart Knight had your setup and then added the mid section, search for his comments ...

Erik,

I didn't really think there would be much difference in pull just by removing the centre section on my WRX (which is just a resonator, not a cat) but it certainly did! As Nigel said, I already had the Scoobysport back box and downpipe, togethre with a Blitz induction kit and re-mapped ecu. Lots of people say the centre section increases noise in the car, but I can't say I've noticed. Mind you lots of people say the Scoobysport system is too loud anyway, but I don't think its that bad, but I did have the boot area Dynomatted (soundproofed) when I had the stereo installed so that may be the difference
