TKH, if you are serious about the giveaway and David does not want it first, I would be willing to try running the risk with it for a bit. Get my 94 WRX this weekend and unfortunatly, I have been running Induction kits for far too long and simply love the breathing noise. Obviously pay P+P and a little something. Feel that taking 1 of these kits FOC off you is a bit tight on my part. Can't believe that MAF's are sooooooo expensive! Thanks

thanks, I'm trying to sell it.

I have run with a blitz for 20,000 miles with no problems. I know that this has been discussed before and we will probably not agree on the reason for MAF failures. But just cause yours did, does not mean everyone running a Blitz will have the same problem.

Was yours secured properly and not rattling around all over the place???

 

I would have thought a MY94 would not have a hot wire type MAF, just the normal airflow meter, so this type of problem wouldn't happen on a 94.

Having said that isn't the MY94 induction kit different to post MY97 cars?

I can think of only one problem with fitting an STi V Blitz cone to an MY94 car. It won't fit. The intake pipework is different, and it will need a different bracket, also the flange that bolts onto the MAF will be different on the MY94 to the version V.

It's not an insurmountable problem, you just need the mounting hardware and the MAF adaptor ring, which Blitz will be happy to supply (at a cost LOL).

As for Blitz filtration, or lack thereof, I believe Bob Rawle and I were among the first to use and discover the Blitz' filtration (or lack thereof) properties.
