OPTIMAX TURNED TO BP

my local shell garage is turning into a BP garage in the new year - i have an my95 WRX and only fuel with Optimax, is the new BP ultimate the same thing as optimax / super unleaded? or is it worth dring an extra 15 miles to find a shell garage?

Theres been a few threads on here about this, mixed opinions.
BP Ultimate is 97 RON
Optimax is 98 RON
One way to find out if it works with your car better than Optimax - try it!
If you do a search a lot will come up.

IMHO, my car runs best on SUL, nearly as good on optimax, and less good on ultimate. I've actually got co-op SUL in mine at the moment 
the pump claims it is 98 RON, I suspect it is only 97, but it runs well. (I think it's probably Esso in a co-op pump?)
Ultimate feels to me like a backward step from BP SUL.
However, several people swear by optimax - just goes to show that you have to make your own mind up.
