If i found a MY97 uk turbo impreza in really good nic, fsh, 90,000mls on the clock, just had the major done with cambelt and also a clutch at 70,000.

Do i have anything else to worry about apart from fuel/insurance/tyres/brakes.????

 

there's alway's somat to worry about, hopefully it dos'nt happen!

 

Check the aircon works, if fitted.
Check the heater matrix too, as I've heard of a few going on the higher mileage cars (mine included) - you're looking for no heat, and moisture from the vents !
Piston slap might be an issue, but this was more common on the MY98s.

If the big service and the clutch have been done recently, and the rest of the car is straight, you should be OK. Best thing to do is get a mechanic familiar with scoobs to give it the once over.

Fuel, insurance, tyres and brakes give most of us enough to worry about as it is! And, if that's not enough, there's always the worries about security and the engine randomly going bang because the MAF sensor has failed.

That said, a 90k MY97 with fsh shouldn't give too much trouble - get it checked over by a mechanic first to check for accident damage or signs of abuse, but otherwise there shouldn't be too much to worry about. Enjoy
