To check it starts etc. Can I use the standard ECU to start the car?

Engine is a USDM 2.5 STI with 850cc injectors?

Just for running in purposes only.

I need something for Friday as it will be ready then

 

as long as all the sensors/wiring harneses are compatible it should at least run. you need to give us a lot more info to be sure though, for example i take it you arent using the USDM throttle assembly? as that is drive by wire and not via a throttle cable.

 

It probably won't run with the big injectors, no problems on the standard ones. Have tried it with EJ25 turbo running on standard 1992 Legacy Turbo electronics.

 

IF it does start Dont be too alarmed by the Black smoke pouring out of the exhaust!

I wouldnt even think about using the std ecu for 'running in' on the 850's

The map will be completely wrong for the injectors, the MAF may however allow the 2.5 to be driven on the std injectors as well as started... but i would check fuelling etc to make sure..

I can lend you some small injectors.. or possibly arrange a different map.

Think john said his 2.0 map was ok..
but injectors may cause borewash which wouldnt be nice..
