I am looking at getting something bigger/more luxurious etc - so want to trade in my Sti - best I have been offered is £7000 which doesnt seem stupid, but does seems a bit cheap - what do u guys think ?

Sti version 4 - 1997 R
Type RA
totally standard - unmodified
White
30,000 miles
climate and cd autochanger

or will I get much more privately ? If so, any idea how much more ?

As with all things, the car is worth what somebody will pay for it.

My personal opinion is that it is worth more than £7,000 - possibly closer to £8,000 - but I could not buy a white car.

Find somebody who is after a white Subaru and I think this will sell for more than £7,000.

This of course is in my humble opinion.

 

You should get more selling privately. Put it in the autotrader, I sold my 95 WRX for £7k in June, had at least 12 calls, sold to first viewer. It wasn't white though...
