I've searched and found a couple of facts about why the prodrive WRC car exhaust is on the right instead of the normal left hand side.

These facts being:
-better flow
-less piping
-better heat disapation
-FIA rules?

My question is why does subaru continue to put the the exaust on the left instead of the right? Fittage? better performance on our part?

Cool

Surely the source of these "facts" can answer these questions too?

The pipe length would be the same, the flow would be the same, FIA rules would not apply.

In fact the only thing I can think of is that the weight distribution of the car is better with it on the right.

That said, its probably Titanium and weighs less than a bag of sweets.

This is an easy one!

It's on the right so it doesn't cross over under the propshaft. This allows us to put it higher in the tunnel out of harms way.

Magnificent!

The simplest answer is the best one.
Thank you Mike.
