Question for Mike Wood!!!
Which type of fuel surge tank/pump are used on the WRC cars, and would it work ok on a road car. The reason I am asking is that on track I have had starvation a couple of times. This is the correct way to resolve this, but I was just wondering which pump would be the better one to use, and what size tank to use?
Many Thanks

The fuel pumps (there are 2 lift pumps and 2 pressure pumps) filter and collector assembly is well over £2K. That's without the tank and carbon cover on the pre00MY cars as well as the bodyshell mods.
I hope this helps make your decision a bit easier to run more fuel in the tank!!!
I find if you don't let it drop below 1/3 full it shouldn't happen.

Mike, I had this happening with 3/4 of a tank of petrol.
Oh well, I will have to get a 1.5/2 litre tank and a pump and make it myself.
Thanks Dan
P.S. Got any cheap second hand units for sale......

Mark Aigin and Firefox run with a kind of surge tank in the engine bay and they never get surge. Perhaps they could help?
I believe you can also put that spongey stuff in the tank too if you want.
