B~boy,

I have a mongoose on my UK94. Complete system (de-cat) with a PiperCross (I think) induction kit. The noise from the exhaust is a fantastic deep burble.

As for power gains....I have no idea when compared to the PE75 system. When I fitted the exhaust over two years ago I don't recall there being all these options !!

The mongoose looks well (single 3" pipe) and does its job well.

I'd also be interested of anyone elses views on the Mongoose exhaust as I don't hear much said about them.

Cheers

Mark

I have a MY98 with a full Scorpion system and a K&N induction kit. It is currently the most powerful non-chipped UK car on the rollers.
I would hazard a guess and say that this combination is the reason.

Stef.

to blackscooby, thanks for your reply about mongoose exhausts, can you tell me how the midrange feels, is there any loss of torque or does it feel to pull stronger than with standard system ?. what is the quality & fit of the system like, cheers.

I thought the quality was very good. It still maintains its lovely shine on the tail pipe after a wee polish.

It made a huge difference over the std item which I think has two cats in it. So much so that I had to tweek the actuator to stop it from reaching the overboost protection. However saying that the car was NEVER standard when I bought it. I found a bleed "nipple" on the pipe to the actuator. It's since been removed.

Fitting was a nightmare ~ but then I'm a mechanical muppet

If you look in the Harewood folder you can (just see my system on the rear shot)
