Dawes Boost Profile
As standard my MY99 boost peaks at 0.8 bar up to about 4000 then gradually reduces to about 0.55 bar at 6/7000. I assume there is a reason for this?
With a manual boost control, such as Dawes, the boost tends to stay more constant as revs rise so if set to 0.8 it will remain at this over most of the rev range. Is this likely to cause problems (eg detonation) at higher revs?

If you don't use Optimax or SUL then it could do. More likely the point you will get problems with light det is from 4400-5200 RPM. Using Optimax and octane booster most cars have no issues. A knocklink is a good idea if pushing it, as is the safer AE802 ECU as it runs suitably richer for higher boost and it more able to retard the ignition.
