I have started to experience a noise (like a medim pitch whine)on depression of the clutch when changing from 2nd to 3rd gear on my MY99 with 11K miles. The more revs I am using the worse it is, has anyone else experienced this problem? all other gear changes seem fine.

Yep, I get this too on high rev changes from 2nd to 3rd. Always had it though (MY00, 8k miles now). Had similar sound on another car lots of years ago when the gearbox was on its way out! But since it's done it from new on the Scoob I assumed it was a 'characteristic'.
