Does anyone know what turbo is fitted to the STi8 Type UK apart form the obvious answers like.....a bloody big one etc. Seriously, I know it is a standard IHI unit but is it a roller bearing one or what? The reason for asking is that I know the block is a semi-closed deck block and thought that like the Type RA's it may also have an uprated turbo? Thanks in anticipation of sensible answers.

VF34 or 35. Similar to what's on the MY01-MY02 RA's, yes.

350 bhp @ 1.4 bar

 

Is that 350bhp at 1.4bar a true / accurate figure?
Hope so as mine regularly boosts to 1.4

What he means is that it can produce up to 350bhp at 1.4 bar, you need some mapping and other bits to achieve this though
