I've read the other posts about the centre section and ordered one from Roadrunner for delivery next week. I'm going to (attempt!)to fit it myself and wondered if the sealing rings at either end from my original exhaust are reusable - or do I need to get new ones?

I am very close to putting the last piece in to the exhaust system puzzle.

And do you have there phone number please.

Cool

Stevie,

You will have no problems in re-using the original doughnut seal which connects the DP to Centre. As I mentioned previously on the other Magnex thread, the flexi. joint springs between DP & Centre will be under a lot more preload than previous. You may need another pair of hands to get the nuts on whilst you hold it in place.

Warn the neighbours before firing up your Scoob after fitting!!! Enjoy.

Chris.

Red face

Been quoted £98 + vat for Magnex mid section with out cat from a well know dealer, they also wanted £45 to fit it ...Obviously won't be lifting that offer.

So can some one tell me where i can get it cheaper.

People might frown at this, but I paid one of the guys at my local 'well known' exhaust fitter to fit my centre section. Cost me a fiver!

Roadrunner number is (0115) 978 1173- Cost is £91.50 Inc Vat plus £7.95 carriage. Looking forward to hearing what this is like-even though a hundred notes is a lot for a piece of pipe !!

It would be worth using some exhaust paste on the normal gasket, just to make sure it seals.
