I'm seriously considering mating the ScoobySport D/P and centre to the existing SS Backbox on my MY99. Sadly, I missed the last Essex meet after being called into work so have not yet tried the full system. If any kind person in the Essex (Romford) area has such kit on an MY99/00 and is willing to give me a demo, I'll happily buy them beers.

I would rather experience the noise/performance benifits for myself than jump into the deep end. Admiral have quoted me just £16 extra on my policy for a full system.

Cool

I seem to recall there was someone with a MY99 car in Essex with a SS system, now who was it... Oh yes, I think he was called Pete something... Croney, yes, that's it, I'm sure, Pete Croney!

Hmmmm, Pete might be a little bias, and I'd probably end up with the suspension and brake package as well .

You certainly have a point about the brakes... If Pete took you out for a demo drive on, say, the scoobysport test run, you would want the exhaust and the brakes... even if he didn't say a word!

Orville,

I am at Pete's tommorow (Saturday) and I shall be there from about 11.00am onwards. I have full SS system so you are welcome to come for a ride with me.

Moray - I think it was you that said 80xyz's for the wheel nut torque. My old man (source of infinite wizdom) gave me these figures.
"80 ft lbs = 108 nm
80 nm = 60 ft lb
I dont know you should check with Sub
bx was 80 NM, Xantia is 90 nm" (he is really green over my sub as he had a SAAB Turbo when they 1st came out).

Any more ideas on that Moray?

Any-way back to the point SCOOBYSPORT FULL SYSTEM. Stupid question here but will this not fail MOTs? If so then how far can you go (ie what combinations)?

Please advise as I am seriously considering this? And the K&N induction. Pete said that the ..
"The filtration of the K&N matches the ITG, but doesn't last."
So I thought of getting the K&N anyway BUT replacing the element once a year??

Any ideas?? ...thanks..

Swa

Blow Dog,
Thanks for the offer, but I've only just read your mail so I appologise for not being there. I think I'll just bite the bullet and go for it anyway.

SWA,

Phone of goto your nearest kwik-fit-a-like... they usually have big charts of wheelnut tightening torques on the wall. You will find the subaru impreza turbo on the list.

Orville,
How are you going to sort out the warranty issue with your dealer? Is it a MY 99 or 00 that you have? Still on the UK 3 year warranty?
Please let me know. I am tempted but was told by the dealer that it's a no-no
Cheers,
Andrei
