Question

Just recently when I hit the accelerator, not hard, it hesitates slightly and even a little splutter or backfire and then it goes. This only happens at low revs and more often that not when cold. It's bloody frustrating though and when the window is down you can easily hear the backfire.

If anyone has an pointers/tips/ideas/info etc it would be very much appreciated...

try changing the brand of fuel or the garage where you get it from. I changed form Q8 to Shell to cure exactly this problem. I had been using Q8 for about 6 months and think that they must have had a dodgy batch as a fiend's fuel consumption dropped considerably at the same time.

Brendan,

Cheers for the reply but I have tried Esso, Shell and Texaco and all the same....

I have also used Redex injector cleaner which seemed to help. There is one that says suitable for turbochrged cars.
