help. car done 42k in 1.5 years.
always serviced at dealers ,
now making what sounds to me like a big end rattle!
are there any probs like this with other scoobys!!!
or any other ideas on what it may be!
ps worse in the cold!

Hi,
So would that make your car a MY98?
Some problems with piston slap have been discussed - use the search factility to find the relevent threads. If you are getting a rythmic knocking sound which is worse when the engine is cold then this may be your problem. A trip to your dealer should provide a diagnosis.
